The NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced on Thursday Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Foligno has been suspended for two games following his knee to the head of Winnipeg Jets’ forward Adam Lowry.

The wild and wackiness took place earlier this week as the two teams put forth one of the games of the season that was full of fisticuffs. Foligno was involved in multiple scrums and let his emotions get the best of him during the end of his tilt with Lowry.

It was Lowry’s and Foligno’s second fight of the night when the incident occurred in the third period and the Wild forward was assessed a two-minute penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Maybe I got my leg in there or something, but that was just me kind of ticked-off and trying to get at him. There was no intent to, you know, not throw with your fist or use another body part in there
