During Monday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild forward Matt Boldy recorded his first career hat trick.

Since being called up by the Wild last month, Boldy has played extremely well, and the truth is in his statistics. In 13 contests thus far, he has seven goals, seven assists, and a plus-10 rating. The 2019 first-round pick is certainly living up to the hype surrounding him and is already looking like a legitimate top-six winger at the NHL level already.
These goals were each important, too. His first two goals tied the game at 2-2, and then his final one gave Minnesota some insurance with their lead. It is also was a nice bonus that all three of these goals were nice ones, too.
The Wild would go on to defeat the Red Wings by a 7-4 final score. With this, they have improved to 30-11-3, while Detroit has fallen to 22-22-6.
