After battling with one another in front of the net, Chicago Blackhawks forward Brandon Hagel and Colorado Avalanche forward J.T. Compher would drop the gloves.

Although these two aren’t known as being among the top enforcers of the sport, it’s clear that this was an entertaining bout. Compher had the clear advantage during the beginning portions of the tilt, but Hagel also did recover well as it progressed. Overall, both wingers handled themselves by the end of it.

Both of these players are also having very good seasons, too. In 38 games this campaign, Hagel has 13 goals and 24 points. He has already tied his production from last season but in 14 fewer games. As for Compher, he has eight goals and 16 points in 30 games. Offensively, he’s on pace to have a career-best season, too.

As a whole, this game was a very entertaining one. The Blackhawks put together a strong third period where they scored four times. However, it was not enough for them to complete the comeback, as they would fall to the Avalanche by a 6-4 final score. With this, Chicago is now 16-21-7, while the Avalanche are 31-8-3.
