Rocket's Cedric Paquette, middle, celebrates with teammates last Thursday after a goal. Paquette scored the game-tying goal late in regulation Tuesday night, which led to Laval's OT win.

The goal capped a comeback for the Rocket, which was making its first playoff appearance. Laval rallied from a 2-0 deficit, tying the score after Cayden Primeau was pulled for an extra attacker late in the third period. Cedric Paquette jammed the puck past Max Lagacé with 38.7 seconds remaining in regulation time to send the game into overtime.

The Rocket staged a furious comeback in the third period as the team outshot the Crunch 15-8, with four of those shots coming in the final minutes. The Crunch had two shots at the empty net, but both were wide and resulted in icing calls. The Rocket won the resulting offensive zone faceoffs to keep the pressure on.

Primeau turned in another stellar performance as he made 32 saves. Lagacé finished with 33 stops.
