It’s the first time the team will play in the playoffs since it was created in 2017. It led the Canadian division of the league in 2020-21, but the Calder Cup playoffs were not held because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Montreal Canadiens’s farm team is currently in third place in the North division with three games to go. The season ends Saturday against the Crunch in Syracuse, which also clinched a playoff spot and would face Laval in the first round in the current standings order.
