Canadiens' Jonathan Drouin gestures during a competition between the white squad and the red at practice at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Jan. 10, 2022.

Drouin hasn’t played since he suffered a wrist injury against the Vegas Golden Knights on Jan. 20.

Drouin was not among the 17 players who participated in a well-attended optional morning skate, but there was more good news as goaltender Carey Price joined his teammates for the first time.

Price has not played this season. He has been recovering from off-season surgery to repair a torn meniscus. He also spent 30 days in the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program for substance abuse.

Brendan Gallagher (lower body injury) will not play and is listed as day-to-day and Josh Anderson will be a game-time decision.
