The Carolina Hurricanes will be hosting the Washington Capitals at Carter-Finley Stadium on February 18, 2023, for next season’s Stadium Series.
It was previously established that the Hurricanes would be hosting the event, but their opponent was never revealed. Now, it’s been made public, and naturally, it is one of the biggest Metropolitan Division rivals.
The Hurricanes were supposed to have a Stadium Series game in 2021, but due to the arrival of COVID-19, the game was canceled in late 2020. Therefore, the NHL owed them an outdoor game, and now they are finally set to have one.
This will be the first outdoor game in Hurricanes history. The Capitals, on the other hand, will be participating in their fourth-ever. So far, they have gone 3-0-0 in them, so they will be looking to remain undefeated.
Alas, save the date, hockey fans!
